Interlibrary Loan

Inter-library loan (abbreviated ILL, sometimes called document delivery, document supply, inter-lending, inter-library services, inter-loan or resource sharing) is a service that enables patrons of one library to borrow materials that another library holds.

Rowan-Cabarrus Inter-library Loan (ILL) provides faculty, students and staff access to needed materials in other libraries’ collections.

Rowan-Cabarrus is a member of the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC), a cooperative organization providing access to more than 10,000 libraries worldwide.

Borrowing

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Interlibrary Loan Borrowing requests are accepted through an online form from the Library’s website. Borrowers are notified by email about the availability of their interlibrary loan requests.

Lending

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Interlibrary Loan Lending service supplies our materials to libraries and other organizations across North Carolina and the United States.

We prefer to receive requests through the OCLC Resource Sharing system using the OCLC library code HZM. However, we will accept requests using an ALA form or e-mail at library@shorinji-kempo.net. We will not accept telephone requests because of the information needed and the likelihood of transcription errors.

For details on what we lend and turnaround times, review our Lending Policy.
